• Make a clear passage to items for sale. No trip hazards.
  • Put clear pricing on the top of everything. The larger the item, the larger the label.
  • Check Pockets & boxes before placing it for sale.
  • Secure Glass items well
  • Display clothes on a rack & sort.
  • Display books and CDs in a box so the titles can be easily read. If selling electrical appliances, Have an electrical outlet.
  • Display more interesting items at the end of your driveway as a magnet.
  • Station yourself closest to the street. It prevents people from “forgetting” to pay.
  • Set old lawn mower, power tools & a table with guy stuff in front.
  • Be ready to sell. Start with an array of bills & coins.
  • Keep money in a fanny pack or Carpenter’s apron. Do not leave box of money laying around. Don’t pull large roll of bills when making change.
  • Cover anything in your garage you don’t wish to sell
  • Keep cell phone in fanny pack. Don’t leave it out lying around.
  • If someone hands you a large bill, leave the bill out in view until after you have given them their change.
  • Have bags available. If you need bags, let me know.
  • Have Kids & teenagers set up their own table selling their toys and clothes. Great way to earn money and clean out closet.
  • Donate unsold Goods to benefit others and alleviate placing back in the garage.
  • Invite a neighbor or friend to join you in your yard sale. The more stuff you have available to sell the better.
